IN LOVING MEMORY OF ANDY IRONS
When Andy was here ............
This is a small tribute to my friend Andy Irons
in which I would like to share the experience and photos I have in
memory
Those who had the opportunity to meet Andy there's a moment where Andy
gave us the light and brought joy our life
that's why I write all this
After the final with Taylor Knox emotion was
at the most.
all who were working with Andy jumped as those who
win the Baseball World Series do
I never have had a victory in my life as an athlete but
celebrated Andy's victory as mine
We approached the shore to receive him
Clarky told me make sure he wears the Billabong cap and
VZ , pick his board and escort him to the interview area
I ran to do what Clarky said
Roy Powers and Bruce came to hold him before he was
lifted Andy said "We did it Bro" and hug me
Bruce and Roy lifted him on their shoulders and carried him to the
stage where it already was a big party
there were many people on the beach
not as many like in the pipe masters but all the people from
Barra possibly 2 or 3 people from Salina Cruz and many people
who came from Puerto Escondido and other places
The ceremony began, politicians spoke, the Ones Who run the event,
people from ASP Then Taylor Knox
Then it was Andy's turn with a black mariachi hat
said:
"I just want to thank my manager Clarky and my man Cesar i
Would not Be Able to do this with out you"
Viva mexico
in that moment all the doubts of whether he was in the wrong
way or if you had done something good in life disappeared
I think that was the time of my Graduation in life as a surfing
guide , as a person made me feel valued and I had the honor of
being called friend of Andy Irons.
Those words are always going to live in my mind and my heart
next to Andy

Today I write this to remember the experience of sharing time
and space in this life with a legend
With much respect
to Lyndie,Bruce, Andy 's parents, all his friends in Hawaii
and to all friends in Billabong
